NOLANVILLE, TX – October 22, 2023 – The City of Nolanville is thrilled to announce the outstanding success of its 8th Annual Fox Trot 5K, held on September 30th, 2023. This lively event, which is a part of the Cen Tex Race series, saw the enthusiastic participation of 298 walkers, joggers, runners, and even a few furry friends, transforming Nolanville into a lively racer’s paradise despite the fall Texas Heat.
The Fox Trot 5K, now an anticipated fall tradition, welcomed participants from all athletic backgrounds, creating an inclusive atmosphere that celebrated the spirit of community and fitness. This year's theme, the "Roaring 20s," transported attendees back in time to the era of flappers, Gatsby glamour, and jazz. Runners and attendees embraced the theme with gusto, showcasing their creativity through feather boas, pearls, and stylish headbands, capturing the essence of the iconic 1920s fashion.
In conjunction with the City's Train Whistle Jamboree, the Fox Trot 5K brought early enthusiasm to a busy day of events for the community. The event, made possible by the dedication of volunteers, local businesses, and the City's administration, featured 7 water station sponsors operating 10 stands throughout the race route. These sponsors played a crucial role in ensuring participants stayed hydrated and energized as they tackled the 5K course.
