Essential Services and Assistance Update

 

The City of Nolanville is preparing for the impending hard freeze for all of Central Texas. While currently, no winter precipitation is forcasted, our Public Works department has sand and deicer ready to go if needed. Resource assistance, such as warming station locations, are found by calling 211.

We also encourage residents to download the My Nolanville Application on their phone for the most up to date information from the city.

Water:

In the event of heavy ice, be vigilant. As the ice begins to thaw please report leaks to the following agencies:
WCID3 Water Leak # (254)394-6882; 
439 Water Supply (254) 613-3100; 
 

***If you are having a plumbing issue within your house and are unable to reach a plumber call 254 698 6335 or after hours 254 698 6334***

Permit fees for plumbing inspections related to the Texas Severe Weather Storm will be provided at no charge.  Although, although inspections will be at no charge, a permit is required.  Please call during normal business hours to schedule the appointment.

This free service will provide local information on possible road closures and other related information regarding the storm.

What To Do Before A Winter Storm:

  • Insulate any valves and faucets outside to reduce any chance of cracking due to exposure
  • Keep essential devices charged and ready in the event of extended power outages
  • Have supplies on hand, such as ready to eat food just in case
  • Bring pets who are sensitive to cold weather inside

During and After the Storm:

  • Pay attention to news reports regarding road conditions and if traveling is unnecessary to stay home until a better time. If travel cannot be avoided, make sure your car is full of gas, windshield wipers are functioning, and warm blankets are available in the event you become stranded on roadways.
  • Report downed trees and debris on the Road to City Hall using the My Nolanville application (found in your phone’s app store) or report to 254 698 6334.
  • Power outages are reported to ONCOR  888-313-4747, texting OUT to 66267, using the My Nolanville Application
  •  As the ice begins to thaw please be vigilant and report leaks to the following agencies:  WCID3 Water Leak # (254)394-6882; WCID3 does not have supply disruption anticipated and currently not under any orders, 439 Water Supply # (254) 613-3100; 439 Water Supply

Electric:

Report  your power outage by calling 888-313-4747, texting OUT to 66267, using the MyOncor app or visiting Oncor.com
City seems to have been spared overall from blackouts but there are still sporadic outages.
Residents are still urged to reduce electricity loads.
Reports of sporadic cell phone coverage but unknown impact locally. 

Property Damage:


Report City Infrastructure Damage to 254 698 6335 during operating hours and 254 698 6334 after hours.
Personal Property Damage - following steps are recommended

  1. Turn off water if you have a leak until you can obtain assistance
  2. Call your insurance carrier and/or property manager
  3. Track all of your expenses, keep receipts and take picture
