City of Nolanville says goodbye to long standing Council-member and welcomes in the newly appointed member.

NOLANVILLE, TX — During the November 17th City Council Meeting city, the City said goodbye to Councilmember Joan Hinshaw, who has served as council member seat one for six years and welcomed her replacement. 

 

Mayor Andy Williams presented Hinshaw with a plaque for her dedicated years of service and expert “Eagle Eyes” over the years. The Plaque, which was read allowed by Williams said, “In recognition and appreciation for your years of outstanding leadership and dedicated service. Your efforts demonstrated how much you care about the community and adds to the many reasons that Nolanville is a “Great Place To Live” 

 

Councilmembers, City staff and family of Hinshaw, took turns taking group photos and thanking Hinshaw for her years of work and service, as well as commenting on her passion for the position.

 

Irene Andrews, Councilmember Hinshaw’s Wife, spoke of Hinshaw’s dedication towards the City of Nolanville. “My heart is full and I’m so proud for the work that my wife has done over the years. When you see someone behind the scenes working, you really have an appreciation of what all of you are expected to do, and that is a lot.” Says Andrews. “It is a large commitment of time energy and heart to be a council member, so I thank all of you. The both of us will continue to support all your efforts and we are proud to be citizens of Nolanville.” 

 

Taking over her position as Councilmember seat one, is newly elected councilmember Karishma Talbott. Talbott, who took her oath of office at the same council meeting, did so with her daughter at her side and her family in attendance. Talbott thanked her family for supporting her through the election process and expressed her readiness for the tasks at hand as she begins to serve the Community of Nolanville. 

 

Nolanville City Council wasted no time in helping Councilmember Talbott get connected into the community and have appointed her as the council advisor for the Nolanville Citizen Advisory Committee as a well as the Nolanville Stable Housing committee.
